Warner Music Group HQ / Ford Factory
Rockefeller Partners served as the Architect of Record for the Warner Music Group Headquarters project, located in the landmark Ford Factory building in Downtown LA. Working side by side with Rockwell Group, an interior design company out of New York, we were able to offer key insights into the historic fabric of the building. With extensive knowledge gained from completing the original Core and Shell of the Ford Factory in 2014, we became the local presence for the design team. Using design direction from Rockwell Group, thoughtful solutions were provided that met the original design intent while complying with local codes and regulations.
Bayon Drive Treehouse
Part office/studio, part recreational getaway, this unique project is located at the base of a large pine tree in the backyard of a canyon residence. The client is an artist and lover of nature so the Banyan Drive Treehouse, perched twelve feet off the ground, will serve as a creative respite from the demands of domestic responsibilities.
Though modest in size, the plan is efficient and allows for a studio space/living area and a toilet room. Deep-oiled wood siding, mahogany windows, and a Rheinzink roof were chosen for their natural qualities and rich palette.
Hotel Figueroa
This historic hotel in downtown Los Angeles in close proximity to the Staples Center has undergone extensive renovations to its 268 guest rooms, circulation spaces, bars, restaurant, kitchens, pool, offices, facade and roof top to provide it with a fresh and modern feel. RPa worked with Studio Collective and a strong team of consultants to bring the hotel back to its former glory while also adding state-of-the-art kitchens, bars, and hotel rooms.
Old Orchard Road
Perched on a challenging hillside site filled with untapped potential, our work was fueled by the imaginative vision of our client – - a luminary in the world of television sitcoms and blockbuster films. Drawing upon the essence of cinematography, our design unfolded with elements of tension, drama, motion, and the [picture] frame reminiscent of the cinematic experience.
The Current - West Tower
Companion to a luxury glass residential tower anchoring the prominent corner of Alamitos Avenue and Ocean Boulevard, this urban high-rise is the home to a mix of residential and commercial uses. Sixteen stories of mid-luxury and essential services housing sit atop secure and easy-access automobile parking lodged in a multi-level base. Between the two towers at the ground floor is an outdoor plaza, injecting a hint of nature into this concrete terrain while supporting pedestrian access to favorite neighborhood restaurants and shops.
